Yummy Math

We created 3D shapes using wine gums and toothpicks!
We had to make a creation then share what shape it was, describe how many faces, edges and vertices it had then have our photo taken and then start creating again!

The best part was getting to eat the wine gums at the end.
We can't wait until we do yummy mathematics again.

Mikaela Hanging out with the Warriors

Mikaela shared her exciting news.
She had a fun time helping her Dad in the commentating booth at the Gisborne Warriors vrs Sharks game.
Mikaela got to meet some of the Warriors players and even her book signed, a cool hat, a Warriors teddy bear and a cool top.
As you can tell by her beaming smile...she had a great time!

Share the road!! Honk honk...

We had special visitors to our school teaching us the importance of being safe around BIG trucks.
It was so much fun! The best part was climbing in the big cab and getting to pull the cord that makes the horn go. HONK HONK!! We also got to talk to the other children from Room 8 in their truck on the radio! We learnt about blind spots and how to load and unload a truck and also how old the tree logs are by counting their rings!
What a fun adventure we had!!

Origami

Part of our Literacy Centre is our choosing board where we
can pick from lots of different and cool activities.
Origami has been a real challenge and fun to make.
Look at our cool creations. :)
