Sneeze Safe

This term our topic is keeping safe.

We investigated how we can keep safe when sneezing this winter.
There are 4 very important steps.
1. TRAP IT
2. BIN IT
3. WASH IT
4. DON"T EAT IT

We did an experiment where we sprinkled glitter on  Leigh's hand and she walked around greeting her classmates and shaking ther hands.
Once she had greeted the whole class we had a look at our hands and discovered that everyone had glitter on their hands.
This represented the bugs that we carry on our hands when we sneeze into them!

Our Science Table

A popular spot in the mornings is our science table.

Our crystals are growing and spreading along the wool. Some look like snow flakes.

Book Week Parade

Something strange happened in Room 9 on Friday 23rd May.
When I arrived into class I was surrounded by beautiful and colourful book characters.
Where have all the Room 9 children gone? Can you spot them?

FLUBBER...

More science fun....
The same recipe but mixed with white craft glue instead of clear glue.
Introducing FLUBBER.
A much more sticky messy mixture but just as much fun.
Check out the science table in our class and have a look, smell and feel!

Science Experiments - SLIME

Connor shared with us his recipe for making Slime.
We all loved learning and Connor was a good teacher.
The slime was gooey and sticky and so much fun.
